Jim Daniels has more than 20 years in education and credential program development. He is broadly recognized for his work and expertise in digital credentialing and badge program development and operations, backed by an an extensive background in technology and education services strategy and execution. In 2014 Jim partnered with colleague David Leaser to develop and operationalize the go-to-market strategy for an award-winning digital badging and credentialing program, which he grew into one of the largest and most successful digital credentialing programs in existence today. At Digital Badge Academy, Jim specializes in bringing the voice of experience to help other organizations realize business value provided by thoughtfully designed and managed digital credentialing programs across a broad range of industries. Jim holds a A.A.S in Electronics Engineering from Nashville State Community College and a BS in Business Administration from Purdue University Global. Jim also serves as an advisor panel member for USF’s Muma College of Business and is an active member of The Learning Guild™️ and the Online Learning Consortium™️.
David Leaser is the founder of one of the world’s leading digital badge programs, certificate program and technologies, including cloud-based embedded learning solutions. He is a member of the IMS Global Consortium Board advisory group for digital credentials, the national Credential As You Go Advisory Board and he provides guidance to the US Department of Labor and the US Department of Education as an employer subject matter expert. David was appointed as an Industry Fellow in the Center for the Future of Higher Education & Talent Strategy in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University, an American Tier 1 university. David holds a B.A. in Communications from Pepperdine University and an M.A. in Communications Management from USC’s Annenberg School.
