Making apprenticeships work: Closing the digital skills and opportunity gap in tech

Skills change quickly and there are not enough qualified workers in fast-growing fields such as software engineering, data analytics, and IT. Charles Cornish has made it his passion to help companies embrace and create new & diverse talent pools through nontraditional career pathways. At American Apprenticeships Work (AAW), which Charles co-founded, the focus has been on creating industry-driven, high-quality career path programs where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a portable, industry-recognized credential. In this @DigitalBadgeAcademy webcast, Charles provides an overview of how AAW is addressing the talent shortage through innovative apprenticeship programs.
