Powering skills and learning data through innovative and meaningful digital badging technologies

Margo Griffith has a deep history and record of working in Education and Technology. She is the head of Business Development at Edalex and she has a passion for digital credentials.

Edalex is an edtech company on a mission to surface learning outcomes, digital assets and the power of individual achievement. Founded in 2016, Edalex develops technology solutions that extract hidden value from educational data to make it accessible and more meaningful.

In 2019, Edalex launched Credentialate – a Credential Evidence Platform that increases the power and meaning of digital badges and the ability to analyze performance against learning outcomes like never before. We harvest evidence of learning via assessment tools directly from your LMS or assessment platform. This evidence forms a personal evidence layer for the learner that travels with the digital badge or credentials to usefully enhance the meaning and portability of the badge. This transparency around individual achievement gives the learner a voice to talk to their skills and competencies to future employers. For the institution or organization, the data can then be visualized to track skills across courses and programs of study, as well as inform the continuous improvement loop for curriculum. In a corporate setting, aggregating evidence of learning and then aligning to your organizational capability framework will guide your upskilling and reskilling strategies.
